The safari south takes us through the southern Ski Resorts of the Dolomites. With start and return in the small ski resort of Cavalese. Many very beautiful and idyllic ski resorts await us during the safari, the ski resort Alpe di Cermis up to the ski resort Lusia, Laresei and Passo San Pellegrino, continue then to Civetta and Pelmo, to the "Queen of the Dolomites" Marmolada as a highlight and concluding to Obereggen , we stay at cozy rustic mountain Lodges, we are the first watching the sunrise in the morning and the last at the atmospheric sunset in the evening. With delicious homemade dishes we let ourselves be pampered by the Lodge operators and enjoy the lodge evenings in friendly company.
In addition, the luggage transport provides comfortable and easy-going skiing, as long as our feet will carry us! A really nice ski safari in the southern part of the Dolomites with small but fine ski resorts and a strong community experience.

  1. Day: Saturday Welcome to the Dolomites
    Our ski guide welcomes you in the Hotel Excelsior**** in Cavalese at 7 pm . Program meeting and dinner together with the ski guide.

  2. Day: Sunday Alpe Cermis
    "The early bird catches the worm". Right after breakfast we start our journey at sunrise on the ski slopes of the Alpe di Cermis. Around noon we wag the slopes towards the valley down to Cavalese and get there by shuttle to Bellamonte to the lifts of the ski resort Lusia. Varied slopes and rustic mountain Lodges make no wish unfulfilled. Overnight stay at Hotel Torretta in Bellamonte.

  3. Day: Monday San Martino di Castrozza
    Right after breakfast we get by shuttle to the idyllic ski area of San Martino di Castrozza. It's the most southern part of the ski area "Dolomiti Superski". Across romantic piste descents we end our ski day before we take the shuttke back to Bellamonte. Overnight  stay at Hotel Torretta.

  4. Day: Tuesday Passo San Pellegrino
    Across the ski area of Lusia we get to the next ski area of Passo San Pellegrino and connection in the afternoon to Laresei. A short shuttle transfer brings us to our next overnight stay in Falcade at Hotel Mariolina.

  5. Day: Wednesday Civetta and Marmolada
    In the morning we stay in the beautiful ski resort Civetta and ride with views of the stunning mountain scenery the pistes into the valley. In the afternoon we continue with the ski bus to Malga Ciapela and then upward the lifts to the ski resort of "Queen of the Dolomites", the Marmolada. Overnight in lodge Passo Fedaia.

  6. Day: Thursday The "Queen of the Dolomites", the Marmolada
    Early in the morning with the first Cable Car we reach the Marmolada, the highest mountain of the Dolomitesand therefore also known as "Queen of the Dolomites". We surmount an altitude of 1815 meters in three sections by Cable Car to the highest point of the mountain. The first dowhill with 12 km of the Marmolada down proves to be a real treat for all skiers. After a short lunch break we continue by the 15 km breathtaking and adventurous "Serrai Canyon" to Sottoguda. Then we get by ski gondola of the Sellaronda to Canazei. A short transfer by ski bus brings us to the ski resort Ciampac. We then reach the rustic beautiful Val Giumela and ski right up to the Buffaure Lodge.

  7. Day: Friday Obereggen
    In the morning the shuttle bus brings us to the ski lifts of Predazzo / Gardone. From there we ride the Obereggen ski area. This is a newly promoted ski area within the territory of the ski carousel "Dolomiti Superski". Slopes in all four directions, distributed to 70 km of ski runs, grant unique skiing. In the afternoon we return right down to Predazzo and on to the Hotel Excelsior**** in Cavalese.

  8. Day: Saturday Departure
    Soon in the Dolomites .... we'll see you again next winter !

For logistical reasons, only 1 bag, max. 40l volume and 10 kg total weight!! is admitted. A piece of luggage can be left at the hotel, or at your own car

Mastery of different difficulty levels at parallel turn.
Condition for up to 6 hours skiing on the day.

Alpine ski equipment, helmet, ski mask and sunscreen. Casual leisure- and Lodge-clothes (possibly earplugs), toilet bag and towel. Daypack is not necessary.

Saturday 7 pm at  Hotel Excelsior**** in Cavalese
